The Reese's: Engaged^

Oh how I love this story! I would probably call myself proactive when it comes to something I get really excited about! It may drive my husband insane....but he still loves me regardless!

So we had talked about getting married or I mostly told him we are going to get married, I've always dreamed of a fall wedding with the autumn leaves, oh man it's my very FAVORITE time of year. So being the "proactive" person I am April 1st came 8 am I called and scheduled the temple for September 26, 2014 12:40 Sealing room 5 (I did run it by him he may have told me to hold off but I didn't..oops) I also scheduled my photographer Abbey Kyhl (she's fantastic) but didn't tell Ryan and kinda made my mother mad.. I also decided I wanted a videographer and my mom told me NO, that I was acting like a spoiled brat and I didn't need one. Well the spoiled brat that I am went behind her back and booked Nate Pickett (he's phenomenal) BEST decision I ever made! My mom now agrees with me and is so glad I got one. Get one you won't regret it I promise! Anyway 3 weeks passed and still not ring. Not even a peep about a ring. I mean I did tell him I didn't wanna go ring shopping that I wanted to be a big surprise all I asked was a simple band, princess cut and on prongs. I started getting nervous that he was gonna bail out, that he didn't really wanna marry me. I was freaking myself out to the point I snooped in his room to look for a ring..I didn't find it.

April 28, 2014 Ryan and I went on a horse ride, it was like any other day we went on horse rides on the daily so I hadn't thought twice about it. We went up in the Ashdown Forest subdivision kinda behind the golf course in those hills. We were just riding around when he turned and asked me if I wanted to ride up on the hill and climb up on the rock I was sure why not! We rode as far up as we could tied the horses to a tree then hiked the rest of the way up. As we climbed up on top of the rock it was the a beautiful site! For those of you who know me know my love for Cedar City!

We sat on top of the rock for quite some time talking about the future, about our future and what it holds. How many mini Ryans we want, where we would love to raise a family and so on. Ryan suggested we climb down to a flat spot because his bum was starting to hurt. As we are standing there he started trying to divert the conversation to getting engaged and I kept changing the subject because overtime I would bring it up he would get made at me!

He finally said to me I think I have made you wait long enough, he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife! I was in shock and kinda didn't say anything for a minute then finally choked out a yes while I jumped on him, maybe shedding a tear or two!! He told me he brought me up he because he knew Cedar was my favorite place and he couldn't think of a better place to ask me then over looking it! He seriously is the most amazing man in the world!
